At the youngest age groups, we begin to develop individual basic motor functions. We use fun, age-appropriate soccer activities that emphasize movements to enhance each player’s agility, balance and coordination.
As players begin to master their coordination, we introduce more complex and challenging activities to build their focus and concentration. Positive reinforcement, encouragement and communication are key aspects of all our programs.
As focus improves, we begin to build the players’ soccer skills by working more on ball control and technique. The goal is to become comfortable in possession. Our small team/group sizes allow each player to receive more individual instruction.
As players become more comfortable with the ball, they are ready to learn the social skills needed to be a good teammate. Junior Academy players are taught communication, sportsmanship and how to work together as a unit.
